Stage Lights Forever Productions Inc
Inclusive nonprofit theater company that teaches practical skills; The current Script Reading Class
About Our Artistic Director
Natalie Webber has loved performing and directing for much of her life.
She transcribed full-length movie scripts, hoping to read them with friends and share this passion. She participated in the Miss Amazing Pageants, winning the title of California Queen in 2014, and National Runner-up that year.
Stage experience was gained at Claremont High School Theater Class, with performances of “Charlotte’s Web,” “The Little Mermaid,” and “Wilie Wonka;” and in mixed chorus for four years. In addition, she performed in “Alladin and His Magical Lamp” and “Music Man,” both directed by Frank Minano. Natalie directed and performed in two one-act plays, “Romance, Inc.,” and “Jessica’s Mermaid.” She developed the script for the latter play, adapted from a favorite book. An original, copy-writed script, “It’s My Life,” was co-written by Natalie during an acting class, and has been enthusiastically read in her script-reading classes.
The idea to create a foundation entitled “Stage Lights Forever” was Natalie’s long-time dream. In 2021, while working with John Lewis at Ovation School for the Performing Arts, that dream was realized.
Wanting to continue to share her love for theater, Natalie successfully approached the Service Center for Independent Living (SCIL) to see if she could direct a class in script reading. This class continued until closure due to the Pandemic. Not to be thwarted, Natalie quickly adapted her in-person class to a Zoom format. This Zoom class continues today, with participants continuing since the beginning. Natalie is now back directing her in-person SCIL class, added recently.
Natalie especially wishes to thank The Miracle Project and staff for their encouragement and kindness, and for all she has learned about performing, play production, Improv, stage and Zoom technical skills over the past eight years.
When directing the classes, Natalie says, I can practice my own skills and help others learn how much fun it is to play different characters.
